Narrative Calligraphy Workshop: Reconstructing Stories through Ink and Meaning

In today’s fast-paced society, there is often little space for people to pause, rest, and restart, making it difficult to find a suitable environment to reflect on life and reorganize the values and meanings our experiences bring. This workshop aims to explore the art of handwriting as a creative medium, allowing participants to delve into their inner selves through unique brushstrokes, reshape their authentic personalities and thoughts through words, and rediscover the significance of personal life moments from a fresh perspective.

By the end of the workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Enhance skills and techniques in Chinese and English calligraphy designs
  • Use calligraphy as an art form to find calm and achieve high-quality rest
  • Gain knowledge and concepts related to narrative therapy, including learning the “externalization” technique to separate “problems” from “self”
  • Reflect and discuss through participants’ handwriting and creations, reconstructing personal life stories and experiences

If you enjoy writing calligraphy, wish to use art to process anxieties from daily life, or simply want to take a moment to rest, reflect, and find a space to explore life’s values, you are warmly invited to join this workshop.
